Meet The Team

The Synectic Electronics Team

Our team has a wealth of industry knowledge and experience. We have the capacity to deal with the largest organisations, but we are still small enough to be flexible and to care.

Brian Tonge – Technical Director BSc M.I.E.T

Brian is an expert in the field of micro-electronics for measurement and control. He began working as a Government approved consultant assisting blue chip companies integrate electronics into the UK’s aerospace, oil and gas, and telecoms industries over 30 years ago. Brian designed the world’s first microprocessor- based mass spectrometer

Brian fuels his passion for design by undertaking selected bespoke projects in fields as diverse as racing car stress measurement and alternative energy. When faced with a challenge, Brian’s extensive experience in both analogue and digital electronics enables him to develop solutions to clients’ specifications, budgets and timescales.

Adrienne Tonge – BA (Hons) Hist & Lit

Adrienne has a wealth of business skill and knowledge and has been working with some of Synectic clients for two decades. She takes pride in developing a thorough understanding of their needs and her excellent project management and communication skills are highly valued by the team and our customers.

Marion Love – Trained to IPC610 aerospace standard soldering

Marion works closely with our designers to ensure that production processes are streamlined and that the many customer variants we offer are produced to specification. She is our team’s ISO 9001 expert and champion. Marion has achieved an NVQ Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations and has been certified as soldering by hand to aerospace standard IPC610.

Chris Cain – Test Engineer HNC Distinction

Chris joined Synectic Electronics in 2012. He is increasingly the voice of technical support for company. He has delighted the rest of the Synectic team and our clients with his ready grasp of our somewhat niche market. He is seven years into his time with the company and an invaluable resource for our engineers and our customers. Having completed his HNC in the first few years with us, he continues to study and is on track to gain a BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering (1st Class) degree in the summer of 2020 with distinctions. As Brian’s understudy he is developing his design skills.

Donna Vanlimbeek

Donna is the newest member of our production team. Since 2017 we have been developing her skills in producing our bespoke electronic instruments.  Since 2018 she has been gaining a greater understanding of how our instruments work in the real world.  No mean task.

Catheryn Day – Accounts and payroll manager

Catheryn has been with us since 2012.  She keeps us inline financially we are very happy when we get our salaries.  Cath is also a champion kettle bell lifter in her spare time so we don’t mess with her.
